Scope and Contents
The papers of painter, sculptor, and ceramicist Albert Henry King date from 1913 to 1963. The papers concern King's early career as a draftsman, his participation with the Federal Art Project, Works Progress Administration, and the exhibition of his paintings in the 1950s and 1960s. Some material is found concerning Louisa Etcheverry King's career as a muralist and painter. Biographical material, professional correspondence, writings, Federal Art Project reports and printed material, exhibition announcements and catalogs, clippings, and scattered photographs are found in mixed-media scrapbooks and as loose material.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Material lent for microfilming in 1964 by Albert and Louisa King on Reels LA01, LA02, LA04, LA05, and LA06 was returned to the Kings after filming. A book on reel LA07 was lent for microfilming by Los Angeles Public Library and returned after filming.

The collection was microfilmed on Reels LA01, LA02, LA04, LA05, LA06 and LA07 and was returned to Albert Henry King and Louisa King and the Los Angeles Public Library after filming. The microfilm was described in a finding aid by Jayna Josefson in 2025 and the microfilm was digitized in 2024 with funding provided by Smithsonian Collections Information System (CIS) IRM Pool Fund.
