The Archives of American Art is throwing a birthday party for painter Robert Motherwell (1915–1992). To mark the occasion, we will give away 101 free birthday cupcakes and share fun facts about Motherwells’ remarkable life. Join us in the Kogod Courtyard on January 24 at 1:00 pm.
This event has been organized in conjunction with the current exhibition Robert Motherwell: A Centennial Celebration. The exhibition is on view until March 27 in Archives of American Art’s Lawrence A. Fleischman Gallery.

Due to the anticipated weather emergency, Robert Motherwell’s birthday celebration has been postponed until Friday, January 29 at 1:00 pm.
