Internship, fellowship, and volunteer opportunities provide students and lifelong learners with the ability to contribute to the study and preservation of visual arts records in America.
This gift is the latest commitment in what has been an important long-term relationship between the Archives of American Art and the Brown Foundation.
The projects that will be funded with this grant include a major oral history program focusing on interviews with artists; the digital preservation of a significant portion of the Archives audio-visual holdings; and the hiring of additional staff to reduce the backlog of unprocessed archival records.
