Summary: The papers of photographer William Christenberry measure 6.3 linear feet and date from 1960-2018. Included are project and subject files; professional correspondence; printed material concerning Christenberry's exhibitions and photography; and audio visual material including VHS tapes and audio recordings on CD of interviews, lectures, family reunions, and travel. The bulk of VHS tapes feature footage from the documentary William A. Christenberry: A Portrait (Produced by Stanley Staniski, 1997).

William Christenberry (1936-2016) was a photographer, painter, sculptor and teacher in Washington, D.C.


The collection was donated in 2019 by Sandra Christenberry, William Christenberry's widow.
