This series consists of a wide range of materials that Toshiko Takaezu gathered on other artists, notably her friend Lenore Tawney and mentor Maija Grotell. Artist files include biographical information, resumes, correspondence, clippings, exhibition catalogs, slides and photographs.
Takaezu worked with Jeff Schlanger on a book about Maija Grotell, so her folders include estate papers, information about a memorial research fund dedicated to Grotell, and writings about Grotell. Similarly, the material on Lenore Tawney is fairly extensive and includes records about the Lenore Tawney Foundation in addition to exhibition catalogs and other printed material.
There is a small amount artwork by various artists in the form of sketches, etchings, prints, and watercolors at the end of the series.
The material related to Lenore Tawney and Maija Grotell are at the beginning of the series. The rest of the series is in alphabetical order, followed by the artwork of various artists.
