Art gallery; Montpelier, Vermont Founded 1891. Collection consists mainly of 2006 oils and watercolors by Thomas Waterman Wood and collection of WPA art, on permanent loan from the U.S. government.
Donated 1978 by Mrs. Paul Sample through art historian Francis S. Grubar. Grubar came across the letters while researching Sample.
