Founded at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1976 at the inception of the media arts movement, the Video Data Bank is a leading resource for video by and about contemporary artists, with a collection 5,500 video art titles by more than 550 artists. Online descriptions are available for individual titles, which can be rented or purchased.
