Architecture and Arts Oral History Project

This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. While the Archives of American Art does not own any of the materials described herein, information about those materials and links to the original repositories have been included when available.

Descriptive Summary

0.5 lin. ft. of material consisting of sound files and transcripts of oral history interviews of former College of Architecture and the Arts faculty of the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Architecture and the Arts conducted by Eileen Broido, as well as some biographical information. Artists interviewed include Morris Barazani, Wayne Boyer, Phyllis Bramson, Douglas Dimmitt, James Duignan, Klindt Houlberg, Martin Hurtig, Larry Solomon, Daniel Sandin, Irene Siegel, and Charles Wilson.

The collection was created by Eileen Broido, working on a celebration of the history of the College in 2007.
