This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. While the Archives of American Art does not own any of the materials described herein, information about those materials and links to the original repositories have been included when available.

Descriptive Summary

Unprocessed. Approximately 2.5 linear feet of material consisting of correspondence, approximately 600 questionnaires, posters, pamphlets, and photographs comprising biographical data, information, and work examples of U.S. and international designers in a variety of fields including graphic design, craft, and decorative arts as well and product design. American designers include John Massey, James Noboru Miho, April Grieman, John F. Saladino, Egbert Jacobson, Ivan Chermayeff, Anni Albers, Thomas H. Geismer, James Prestini, Jo Mielziner, Michael Manwaring, Cipe Pineles, and Paul Rand.
