This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. While the Archives of American Art does not own any of the materials described herein, information about those materials and links to the original repositories have been included when available.

Descriptive Summary

1300 files of biographical information on faculty members, officers, trustees, staff members, and other individuals related to the University of Chicago. The materials have been received from many sources, although the largest portion has come from the Office of University News and Information and its predecessors. Files include biographical data sheets, curriculum vitae, obituaries, press releases, articles, and news clippings; some also contain small amounts of letters and other original manuscripts. Subjects include Vera Klement, Lorado Taft, and Laura Van Pappelendam.
