This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. 8 linear feet of letters (including some copies) written to Mieczyslaw Haiman, first curator of the Polish Museum of America, to the museum generally, and with no connection to the museum but collected by Haiman and later curators. Correspondents include important individuals in Polonia [Polish diaspora] and in the U.S., including several Polish American artists.
