Records of the Art History Department
This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. While the Archives of American Art does not own any of the materials described herein, information about those materials and links to the original repositories have been included when available.
Descriptive Summary
53 boxes of material consisting chiefly of letters, inter-office memos, and vitae and bibliographic material relating to faculty, a few students, and visiting artists and lecturers. Included are files concerned with art of the American Indian and records on an Indian Art Exhibition in 1974. Other files include records on distinguished individuals in art and art history. This series may be used only with permission of the chairperson of the Department of Art.
