Northwestern Memorial Hospital records, general art files, Franklin McMahon collection
This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. While the Archives of American Art does not own any of the materials described herein, information about those materials and links to the original repositories have been included when available.
2 Hollinger boxes and flatfiles of material consisting of approximately 100 black-and-white photographic prints, lithographs, posters and miscellaneous files of material relating to artworks by Franklin McMahon used in annual reports, internal and external publications, as well as 84 original charcoal sketches on paper by McMahon illustrating life at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the surrounding medical center campus in the Chicago neighborhood known as Streeterville.
