This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. 15 linear feet (2 boxes, 10 oversize boxes) of material relating to calligrapher Stuart David, including his printed work (menus, book covers, certificates, etc.), printed work by other calligraphers, and files on various styles of writing.

Biographical Historical Note

David Stuart is a calligrapher and original member of the New York Society of Scribes who worked as corporate calligrapher for Citicorp, and who has also authored three books on calligraphy.
