This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. While the Archives of American Art does not own any of the materials described herein, information about those materials and links to the original repositories have been included when available.

Descriptive Summary

In process. Approximately 70 linear feet (approximately 500 tapes, including masters and raw footage as well as finished edited videos; approximately 100 tapes are final edited versions) of videos produced by the MCA staff to document MCA exhibitions and activities. The bulk of the videos are artist interviews, usually produced in conjunction with an MCA exhibition. Artists include Chuck Close, Charles Simonds, Roger Brown, Nam June Paik, Charlotte Moorman, Jeff Koons, Jim Lutes, Max Neuhaus, Jeff Wall, Ed Paschke, Eric Fischl, Leon Golub, Vito Aconcci, Lorna Simpson, Peter Saul, Jeanne Dunning, Andres Serrano, Donald Sultan, and Kenneth Josephson.
