This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. Descriptive Summary

15.26 linear feet of material consisting of photographs, correspondence, book manuscripts, research notes, personal items, and professional papers of Robert Broderick. Series 9 contains clippings of newspaper and other periodical reproductions of artwork by writer Robert Broderick’s wife, Catholic liturgical artist and illustrator Virginia Gaertner Broderick. A few other items relating to Virginia Broderick are found elsewhere in the collection.

Virginia Gaertner Broderick was a Catholic liturgical artist and illustrator.
