This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. 1 archival box (10” x 15” x 12”) of material relating to artist Paul Wieghardt, consisting of exhibitions catalogues, newspaper clips, and personal letters by Wieghardt.

Biographical Historical Note

Paul Wieghardt was a German-born painter and sculptor in Chicago and in Philadelphia. He and his wife, sculptor Nelli Barr, taught at the Art Institute of Chicago and at the Evanston Art Center.
