John H. Vanderpoel Art Association

Founded in 1913 to honor the memory of painter and influential Art Institute of Chicago teacher John H. Vanderpoel (1857-1911), the Vanderpoel Art Association holds a collection of works by many artists associated with Vanderpoel and with the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago, where he lived. Archival materials relate to the organization's history and to the artists represented in its collection. The record in this web resource was compiled from in-person examination of materials.
