Illinois Institute of Technology

Illinois Institute of Technology is an institution of higher education specializing in such technical fields as engineering, science, and architecture. With its merger in 1949 with the Institute of Design, founded in Chicago by László Moholy-Nagy (1895-1946) in 1937, IIT became a center for innovative design. Its Archives includes the papers of numerous individuals and organizations associated with IIT and related institutions, notably the Institute of Design. Limited online finding aids are available.
