This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. Biographical Historical Note
Peter Thompson spent 36 years as a faculty member in the Photography program at Columbia College Chicago. In 1980, Thompson began to create films in the form of the cinematic essay. His films made use of his deep experience in music, literature and photography and gained critical attention worldwide.
