This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. Biographical Historical Note

Tim Jackson is a Chicago Defender editorial cartoonist who also created website Pioneering Cartoonists of Color, the most extensive database of information about early African American cartoonists. Jackson has also worked for LifeTimes, a publication issued by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.
