Chicago Loop Alliance collection
This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. While the Archives of American Art does not own any of the materials described herein, information about those materials and links to the original repositories have been included when available.
11 linear feet of material consisting of photographs, slides, negatives, videos, audio cassettes, and artifacts documenting the work and activities of the various organizations that since 2005 have operated as the Chicago Loop Alliance. Materials include a small number of images of the State Street art shows in the mid-1980s, the Art Exposure event of the mid-1980s, the Sculpture Chicago festival in the mid-1980s, and the sculpture ,Being Born, by Italian-born Chicago artist Virginio Ferrari, on its original site at State and Washington streets.
