Descriptive Summary

Undetermined small volume of letters by Rufus Blanchard, including one to Mrs. Juliana Brattan, dated July 19, 1893, regarding Blanchard’s picture of Chicago as it appeared in 1831; the other to Miss Ann Hartshorn, dated Sept. 7, 1899, regarding coloring of two pictures of the Chicago River from Wolf Point.

Biographical Historical Note

Rufus Blanchard was a prolific publisher of maps in Chicago.
