Ray Pearson collection of visual materials,
This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. While the Archives of American Art does not own any of the materials described herein, information about those materials and links to the original repositories have been included when available.
Ray Pearson Collection of Visual Materials consists of 1 portfolio (13 prints), 1 photomechanical print (calendar), and 3 photographic prints created at Chicago's Institute of Design and collected by faculty member Ray Pearson. Includes three design oriented photographs; a calendar with photographic illustrations by students (presented as an issue of Technology and Human Affairs, v. 4, no. 3), and a portfolio of original prints by students of Misch Kohn, issued as Student Independent, no. 8.
Biographical Historical Note
Ray Pearson was an instructor at the Institute of Design from 1950 to the late 1970s.
