This record forms part of the Chicago’s Art-Related Archival Materials: A Terra Foundation Resource project funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art. For this project, the Archives surveyed archival repositories throughout the Chicago region to identify art-related materials contained in their holdings. Descriptive Summary

358 reels of 16mm film of commercials and industrial films that Morton Goldsholl Associates made for their clients, experimental films and animations made by both Morton and Millie Goldsholl, unedited travel films shot by the Goldsholls, and films (primarily animated) that the two collected over the years.

Biographical Historical Note

Morton Goldsholl Associates, one of Chicago’s leading graphic design studios in the 1950s. The studio became recognized for their animations, progressive hiring practices and developing corporate branding packages for various companies.
