Scope and Contents
The records of the Stone and Press Gallery measure 4.0 linear feet and date from 1921 to 2022. The records document the history of the gallery through artist files consisting of correspondence, photographs, invoices, printed material, and some artwork; and general printed material consisting of gallery prints, and catalogs.
Artist files consist of correspondence, invoices, photographs of artwork, resumes, clippings, and exhibition announcements and catalogs for artists represented by the gallery. A large portion of the artist files relate to Jackson Lee Nesbitt and includes personal correspondence, sketches and sketchbooks, audio interviews, and video interviews and showcases of his work. Also included are a number of files on Caroline Durieux which include video recordings, correspondence, writings, and photographs. Some of the other artists include: John Taylor Arms, David Bumbeck, Paola Ciampini, Anne Dykmans, Robert Kipniss, Christine Ravaux, Frederick Mershimer, and Carol Wax.
Printed material consists of a binder of sales catalogs and a binder of art prints.
