Size: Partial microfilm reel.
Summary: Included are papers relating to a controversy over the invention of a machine for medal ruling; a 5 p. biographical sketch of Gobrecht and a list of his engravings compiled by Charles Gobrecht Darrah, 1902; and Gobrect's childhood sketchbooks, 1794, with some observations on mixing colors, engraving, and copying. Also included are the deed of trust to the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art, May 7, 1884 and two letters relating to the deed; the deed of trust to the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Feb. 24, 1880, and related letters including those concerning the Temple Trust Fund; and articles of agreement between Joseph E. Temple and the Reynold's Monument Association and sculptor John Rogers, Feb. 14, 1882.
