Summary: The papers of art educator Roy E. Abrahamson regarding Henry Schaefer-Simmern measure 0.4 linear feet and date from 1951-1985. Included are letters from Schaefer-Simmern to Abrahamson regarding Schaefer-Simmern's publications, art education, art theory and methods, and art and museums in Germany; and fourteen lectures, 1967-1968, on fifteen audio cassettes given by Schaefer-Simmern at the University of California, Berkeley, St. Mary's College, Morogoa, California, and Le Conte School, Berkeley, California. Lectures are numbered on cassettes 1-9 and 11-15. Also included is a photocopy of an honorary degree for Schaefer-Simmern from St. Mary's College.

Biographical/Historical Note

Roy E. Abrahamson is an art educator in Carbondale, Illinois. Abrahamson taught art education at Southern Illinois University from 1965-1996. He studied with art educator and researcher Henry Schaefer-Simmern (1896-1978).
