Photographic material includes photographs, negatives, transparencies, digital images and slides of Roy De Forest (which often include his dogs and artwork in the background), as well as travel photographs, images of his pets (primarily dogs), images of friends and family, and images of his studio and works of art.
Photographs of Roy De Forest are at the beginning of the series. The rest of the materials are loosely grouped by subject.
The bulk of this series has been digitized. Materials which have not been digitized include a 35mm filmstrip titled "Contemporary Artists at Work," blank versos of photographs, and duplicates.
