Art available files are comprised of correspondence, photographic materials, and price lists. Correspondence files consist of letters exchanged between Rosa Esman, gallery director Pamela Freund, collectors, artists, museums, and galleries. In addition to letters, the files include scattered printed material, photographic materials, and financial papers. Inventories are comprised of photographic materials and lists alongside some correspondence and sales records. One file of mixed provenance information is comprised of photographic materials, correspondence, and inventories. Also present in this series are pins and magnets from a collaboration between the Esman Gallery and artists.

Series 2: Artist Files, 1920s, 1953-2011

Folders might include correspondence with artists or their representatives, museums, galleries, collectors, and others pertaining to the sale, commission, and exhibition of artwork; newspaper clippings, exhibition ephemera, and other reference material; photographic materials depicting artists and artwork; and scattered financial papers. For artists who exhibited at the Esman Gallery, price lists, press packets, and some installation photos are also present. Mixed files located at the end of the series include artist resumes as well as some correspondence, clippings, and photographic materials.
Of particular note are files for Eileen Gray, Irish architect and furniture designer, comprised of invitations, monograms, and stationery from her furniture and design shop, Jean Desert; inventories, correspondence, and photographic materials on the collection of Russian artworks that belonged to Russian painter, Lev Nussberg; painted letters from Edward Henderson; and inventories illustrated by Pascal Verbena.
