Writings consist of original illustrated manuscript/notebooks, a studio notebook, and exhibition guestbook registers dating from the 1950s. Typescripts of Lebrun's autobiography, notes on drawing, and general remarks on art and other topics that appear as poetry are also included.
Typescript material has retained numerical ordering. The remaining materials are arranged by document type.
