Summary: Research material, including correspondence, photographs, slides, notes, and typescripts, concerning artist Reginal Marsh, primarily compiled for Sasowsky's catalogs raisonnés: Reginald Marsh: Etchings, Engravings, Lithographs (1956), and The Prints of Reginald Marsh: an Essay and Definitive Catalog of his Linoleum Cuts, Etchings, Engravings, and Lithographs, done under the auspices of the Whitney Museum of American Art (1976).

REELS 1463-1464: Correspondence; photographs; questionnaires; notes; and printed materials regarding extant impressions of Marsh's prints, arranged alphabetically by institution or individual.

UNMICROFILMED: A Marsh chronology; a transcribed biographical statement, Feb. 24, 1947; photographs of preliminary drawings for paintings and prints; correspondence with Sylvan Cole, Jr., of Associated American Artists; correspondence and catalogs concerning Marsh's prints; microfilm negative of Marsh's prints; papers concerning a posthumous edition of Marsh's photographs by the Middendorf Gallery; letters and postcards from Zayda Weller to Marsh, 1949-1954; slides of Marsh's prints (including state proofs) found in his studio at the time of his death; Sasowsky' notes and bibliographic references for The Prints of Reginald Marsh (1976); a transcript of Marsh's notes on his prints; a typescript of the first catalog raisonné, 1956; several drafts of the final version of the second catalog raisonné, 1975; and photographs.

Sasowsky donated the photographs on reel 1195 in 1977. In 1979, he lent material on reels 1463-1464 for microfilming and arranged for his research material at the Whitney Museum of American Art to be sent to AAA. In 1998, he donated the material previously lent and additional material.
