Summary: The records of the Pennsylvania Federal Art Project date from 1940 to 1942. Found are writings and a radio script, a project proposal, and Federal Art Project and Works Progress Administration produced printed material.
The Federal Art Project was established under Federal Project No. 1 of the Works Progress Administration. The forty-eight states and territories were divided into regions and Federal Art Project programs were initiated, employing thousands of unemployed artists and craftsmen.
The collection was lent for microfilming 1964 by the Philadelphia Museum College of Art via Richard Doud and returned after filming.
