This series contains books and exhibition catalogs (many on the subject of Chinese and Japanese art) annotated by Oscar Bluemner with extensive notes and illustrations. Separate notes, sketches, news clippings, and other printed material may also found within the books. Of particular interest are Bluemner's writings and illustrations on art theory found in
A Compendium of Painting
. Some of the books and Bluemner's notes are in German.
Books are arranged in chronological order by date of publication.
