Biographical/Historical Note
Painter; Fort Worth, Tex. Studied with Cecelia Beaux at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, with Robert Henri and William M. Chase in N.Y. He moved to Paris in 1906, for seven years, painting and exhibiting his works at the Salon exhibitions.

Microfilmed as part of the Archives of American Art's Texas project. Lent for microfilming 1980 by Elizabeth Williams, Bewley's niece.
