Summary: Letters, a grant proposal, photographs, printed material, and miscellany relating to Jacques Lipchitz's sculptures.
Letters are from Yulla Lipchitz, Jacques Lipchitz's widow, regarding the process and problems of completing Jacques' last three sculpture commissions after his death. Additional letters to Kaplan are from Hanno Matt, Yulla's son, Henry Moore, and various institutions. Kaplan's proposal is to the National Endowment for the Arts for a film documentary on the creation and installation of the Fairmont Park and Columbia University sculptures begun by Jacques Lipchitz prior to his death and completed by Yulla Lipchitz; photographs are of Lipchitz's sculptures in Pietrasanta, Italy as well as the dedication ceremonies for the completed sculptures in Philadelphia and New York; printed material includes exhibition catalogs of Lipchitz's work and newspaper clippings from dedication ceremonies.
