Writings include draft manuscripts and notes for a book on etchings, loose journal pages documenting Hobbs' move to New Orleans in 1938, and a garden diary and notebook documenting his bromeliad collection. Also found are original pages from a pocket diary Hobbs kept during his service in World War I and a typescript of the diary by Reed Isbell-Hobbs. Writings by Alice Seddon Hobbs include two essays and a speech about her husband's artwork.
