Biographical/Historical Note

Art dealer; New York, N.Y. Was instrumental in advancing the cause of American Artists in the early 20th century. Opened her first gallery in 1923. Her gallery was eventually bought by Leonard Clayton.

Provenance

Material on reel D294 donated 1967 by Mr. and Mrs Harold Sterner. Material on reel 1265 lent for microfilming 1977 by Steven Straw Co., Inc. of Boston; subsequently sold to Christopher Huntington, who donated them to the Portland Museum of Art. Unmicrofilmed material donated 1982 by Stanley Pasternak.
