Biographical/Historical Note
Portrait painter. Among her subjects were Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt and Queens Borough President James M. Lundy. She was the daughter of Arthur Hatt, an artist who studied with John Singer Sargent. She studied at the Pratt Institute and the National Academy of Design. Married name Mabel Hatt Haagens (Mrs. David Haagens).
