Summary: The papers of Canadian-American artist Jessica Stockholder measure 40.0 linear feet and 1 terabyte and date from circa 1970-circa 2020. The papers document Stockholder's career via correspondence, notes and writings, interview transcripts and recordings, extensive exhibition files, teaching materials from her years as head of sculpture at the Yale School of Art and then as Chair of the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Chicago, press clippings and printed matter, models and installation instructions, and a comprehensive collection of preparatory drawings and photographic documentation. Also included are drawings and models for more than two dozen unrealized projects.
