Summary: A photograph of painter Lizzie Wilkerson, ninety-four slides and reproductions of her work, six clippings (1983-1984), and the catalog from the 1983 exhibition at Georgia State University Art Center on Wilkerson, organized by Jones. Also included is a videorecording (U-matic, 3/4 in., 12 min.), "Everything That Grows and Moves Around; The Art of Lizzie Wilkerson," produced by the Georgia State University Office of Educational Media in association with the Georgia State University Department of Art (1983). On the videotape, Wilkerson speaks of her family background, recurrent themes in her paintings, materials and techniques, and her feelings about making art.

Art historian, professor; Georgia State University. Lizzie Wilkerson began to paint at age 77, after a life as a sharecropper and maid.
