Writings and notes by Britton include a handwritten and incomplete typescript of an autobiography, writings for his publication Opus, draft writings for his book, Artists of America, drafts of "Copley, Modern Old Master", writings about Charles Noel Flagg, and essays about art and classical music, and plays.
