Identification on accompanying label (typewritten): Waylande Gregory, WPA Sculptor, is shown at work on a model of a fountain group, "Light Dispelling Darkness" for the grounds of the Roosevelt Hospital, New Brunswick, N.J. which will be included in the Regional Exhibition of New York and New Jersey Artists opening to the public Wednesdau [sic], November 10 at the WPA Federal Art Gallery. 225 West 57 St., N.Y.C. The fountain is 15 feet hight and 40 feet in diameter with six symbolic groups representing "War", "Pestilence", "Famine", "Death", "Greed", and "Materialism". Ten assisting sculptors are working on the group under Mr. Gregory's supervision.
