Mel Kendrick (1949- ) is a sculptor based in New York City known for his intricate geometric yet raw works in wood and concrete as well as larger installations.
Terrie Sultan (1952- ) is a curator and cultural consultant based in Southampton, NY; she was previously the director of the Parrish Art Museum and a curator at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC.
This interview is part of the Archives of American Art Oral History Program, started in 1958 to document the history of the visual arts in the United States, primarily through interviews with artists, historians, dealers, critics and administrators.
