Manfred Mohr (1938- ) is a digital artist whose work pioneered the use of algorithms in art. Working exclusively on computers since the late 1960s, Mohr generates two-dimensional graphics using multidimensional hypercubes. Mohr was born in Pforzheim, Germany and works in New York City.
Interviewer Leslie Jones (1966- ) is a curator and art historian based in California.
This interview is part of the Archives of American Art Oral History Program, started in 1958 to document the history of the visual arts in the United States, primarily through interviews with artists, historians, dealers, critics and administrators.
