Biographical/Historical Note

Interviewee Franco Salmoiraghi (1942-) is an Italian-American photographer who has worked in Hawaii since 1968, where he is best known for his documentation of Native Hawaiian practices and culture.

Interviewer Maika Pollack (1976-) is an art historian based in Manlius, New York.
