Biographical/Historical Note
Interviewee David Botello (1946- ) is a muralist in East Los Angeles, California whose vibrant murals and prints draw from Pre-Columbian, Chicano, and Impressionist traditions. In the 1970s, he co-founded the East Los Streetscapers Public Art Studios, a collective dedicated to murals and public art installations.
Interviewer J.V. Decemvirale (1984- ) is an art historian based in Southern California.
