Carol Cole Levin (1943- ) is an artist, collector, and philanthropist based in Greensboro, NC. Her work examines the idea of nurture through art, often using the breast as a fundamental motif. She has championed contemporary art throughout the southeast through her collecting and philanthropic efforts, particularly with the Weatherspoon Museum.
Interviewer Ben Gillespie (1988- ) is the oral historian at the Archives of American Art.
This interview is part of the Archives of American Art Oral History Program, started in 1958 to document the history of the visual arts in the United States, primarily through interviews with artists, historians, dealers, critics and administrators.
