Biographical material includes a variety of primary sources as well as detailed research into Hildreth Meière's life and work by Louise Meière Dunn, daughter of Hildreth Meière. Documents include an autobiographical narrative written by Meière, numerous awards and certificates, a calligraphic drawing that was a gift from Harry Zee Hoffman, genealogical research, a legal brief concerning Meière's marriage, passports, membership cards, U.S. Navy service records from World War I, a school transcript, and wedding dress designs and samples from a Paris designer. Extensive writings and research by Louise Meière Dunn thoroughly document Meière's life and career through correspondence, documentation of archival holdings regarding Meière's commissions held by other institutions, and biographical writings.
