Summary: Letters, 1959-1960, from Anni Albers, Josef Albers, Adolph Gottlieb, Maria Hofmann (for Hans Hofmann), Leo Lionni, Robert Motherwell, Paul Rand, Ben Shahn, and Marguerite Wildenhain each responding to Foster's invitation to be a guest instructor at the Atlanta Art Institute. Most declined the invitation. Robert Motherwell wrote that he would not teach in a segregated school.
Also included are writings and printed material on and by Josef Albers, ca. 1960-1966.
